JORDAN BOWEN is a native of East Texas who later migrated from New York City to the West Coast. He studied Eastern European literature and film at Columbia University, contributed to WNYC's Radiolab, toured on keyboards with underground punk-pop legend R. Stevie Moore, collaborated on video projects for Gary Wilson and digital art with filmmaker Jordan Belson, and has worked with Rooftop Films, Wordless Music and Le Poisson Rouge.

Bowen's writing and reporting on culture and landscape have been featured in The Point Reyes Light, a Pulitzer-prize winning weekly newspaper based in West Marin. His observations, poems and fiction have been featured in The North Coaster, Beauty Today, Gigantic Sequins and Next City. Bowen has edited and produced newscasts for KCBS Radio in San Francisco, and launched the weekday afternoon CBSN Bay Area / KPIX Channel 5 newscast in 2019.
